Retail & Shopping Centre Wifi
Whether you own or manage a busy shopping mall, department store or a successful retail chain, understanding how your consumers move around your store, how frequently they visit and what their spending behaviour looks like is invaluable information. This kind of analytical data enables retailers to paint an accurate picture of footfall and create an effective end to end engagement experience
ElephantWiFi allows large retailers to better understand their consumers and connect online browsing with offline, face to face experiences.
By harnessing the power of social media to create direct engagement with shoppers, you can get an advantage over the competition. Directing people to dedicated landing pages, relevant to their age, gender and online activity gives you a fighting chance when competing for the consumer pound. You can also push out dedicated messages to your consumer base with exclusive offers, gift voucher codes on their birthdays, sale periods and other news and event information.
ElephantWiFi provides an innovative way for consumers to interact with brands, even when they’re inside the building. A comprehensive analysis of mobile usage via our analytics software will provide you the means to determine the prime retail locations within your shopping centre or store and this can in turn help drive traffic to new retail units and or other areas where a footfall increase will be viewed as a major benefit.
How can retailer’s monetise WiFi?
Access to real-time marketing information means that retailers can personalise the offers and vouchers sent out to customers in store. Offers can be sent out in real time (as the customer is physically browsing in store) or used as a way to incentivise the customer to return. For example, a clothing retailer could offer a discount on purchases made during a subsequent visit.
Our reporting engine is like Google Analytics for your stores. Find out who is shopping, how long they are staying, how often they are returning, and details of their demographics.
50%+ of people choose to automatically post a message about your brand when logging on through their social media accounts. Retailers can customise posts according to the store and current offers. This is a powerful marketing tool, as each person’s network of friends will then see the post.
Loyalty card customers
Ask customers to add in their loyalty card number for additional offers, allowing you to tie in online data with in store data even further, providing tailored benefits to your customers.
Brands can offer their partners sponsorship of the WiFi service, and/or advertising space on branded areas, landing pages and in store or subsequent emails.
In store people tracking
Location based services
Our WiFi networks use technology called RSSI, this allows retailers to see the detail of people’s pathways through the store, their entry and exit points. The insights gained from presence analytics mean that marketing campaigns can be targeted to your customers. Great examples of this are; the position of sales displays can be adjusted when a common pathway through the store is known or the effectiveness of windows display can be measured when you know how many people stop to look at it.
This technology allows retailers to gauge footfall by identifying the number of devices in store. It also tells retailers how many times a device (and therefore a customer) has visited the store and their dwell time.
By integrating store floor plans to the system, we can heat map people’s movement and even draw ‘fences’ around specific areas, allowing you to trigger marketing messages. For example, geo-fencing would inform the retailer of a person’s ‘dwell time’ in the ladies clothing department. That person could then receive an offer for accessories or be notified about an upcoming sale.
